Thrown Under the Bus
by Jae Awkins
Irreverent and stereotypical, abounding with acronyms, cliches' and phonetics... the folks at Liberty Bell Golden Terrace retirement community give new meaning to Senior Citizen, and keep you laughing, as they invite themselves on one Resident's private vacation—a bus tour to Reno, Nevada. Sounds safe and fun, right?
When marriage counselor, Silvia Server, married her high school sweetheart, Rock Starre, she had a lot of fantasies about his fame and success... but one of her dreams was not an ugly divorce after thirty years.
Alone and broke, Silvie's widowed older sister, Ima Gudkuke, convinces her that they should relocate together, into a senior home for aging 'B' List celebrities. Originally founded by Missionaries of The Helpless, LBGT only accepts Residents who can prove solvency and a connection to fame—and Ima's two-season cooking show on PBS qualifies, with Silvie as her plus-one.
It's not an ideal situation for Silvie—but with no other options, she agrees.Soon bored with endless bingo games and daily routines, Silvie finds herself in charge of a tour bus Road Trip, squabbling seniors, conniving hillbillies...and murder.Trapped at the Speedo Motel, the Seniors endure rudimentary accommodations, while the Socialites complain, and the bumbling police 'look into the matter'.From Selma Bodie to Vera Tackey, they're a group of people that you won't want to miss—if you can survive the double entendres!

Rated R for crude humor, sexual innuendos, and the occasional non-PC remark. Rated A+ for entertainment value.
