The Wicked Waffle
by Carolyn Q. Hunter
One step forward, two steps back.
They say you can never go home again.
Particularly when home just might be haunted.
When aspiring author, and reluctant amateur sleuth, Sonja Reed, leaves her "dream job" in New York City to return to her hometown of Haunted Falls, Colorado, she immediately finds herself pulled into investigating a murder that has rocked the small, peaceful town where she grew up.
Sonja goes to work at a local diner, under very strange circumstances, and has to regroup. Faced with getting reacquainted with friends, family and being at home, she nevertheless gives her all to finding out whodunit, and has some decidedly spooky encounters.
Will she be able to make life work in her home town? Or will pesky spirits chase her away?
