They train you to be a soldier. A killer. But they don’t train you to be a civilian again. Made redundant, the army failed to prepare him for life on the outside. Nightmares, vivid dreams, and visual flashbacks, from his two tours of Afghanistan, plague him. After the incident which left him with head injuries, they said he was ok, that he’d make a full recovery, but they were wrong.
