Nebraska Deputy Sheriff Jubal Masters has had his fill of life and death challenges to deal with throughout his young life, but one recent experience will send him on a bazaar mission that, if he accepts, will leave him hanging without a government to support him. Every government on the planet wishes this mission could be accomplished, but not one will come within a thousand feet of that responsibility.
Jubal’s only clue comes from a dying man in the middle of a horrific Nebraska blizzard when the man painfully pleads that the message, “There will be no tassels on the corn this year,” be delivered to US Senator Winston in Nebraska’s Capital City of Lincoln.
To suggest that statement would change this ‘well seasoned’ Nebraska farm boy’s life is truly an understatement.
