Journey into a world where enhanced individuals walk among regular people. Some are born with these abilities whilst others stumble into them. One thing remains constant however, there will always be people willing to fall on the opposite side of the law and for every person who tries to become a hero, others turn to a darker path.
With stories set across the globe, The D.E.W Files cover the lives of these people, both individually and collectively, as they attempt to do what’s right whilst dealing with what it means to be a hero.
The D.E.W Files Volume I
The D.E.W Files Volume one brings together the first six tales in the series and follows six individual heroes as they grow from humble origins to becoming saviours of the world. Volume one includes: The Imp, Sparkman: The New Dawn, Molotov: City of Fire, The Imp 2: Rise of the Banshee, Droplet: Force of Nature and Alpha Squad.
The Imp
Tim White is an ordinary man living in a city of crime however one night changes everything. Imbued with superhuman strength on the same night that his parents’ die in a fire, he sets out to find the truth behind their deaths. Unable to achieve anything as himself, he must become the inhuman Imp and wade his way through the filth of his city to gain justice. However whilst some view his actions as heroic, others worry that the Imp may be worse than the mob rule which he looks to destroy...
Sparkman: A New Dawn
When a soldier, Ethan Carter, is struck by lightning he gains the ability to control electricity and becomes the army’s greatest weapon, Sparkman. Thrust into the fight against the terrorist organisation the New Dawn, Ethan discovers that his very existence has changed the rules of warfare and the enemy is working towards producing soldiers like him. They need stopping but could the answer to all his problems really lie with a young girl kidnapped by the New Dawn fifteen years earlier…
Molotov: City of Fire
Tyrone Johnson has always been different. The fact that he can control fire saw to that. When tragedy hits at the heart of everything Tyrone holds dear he joins the radical Pumas in their fight for equality. Amongst them he finds a home as Agent Molotov but slowly as the city is dragged deeper into a vicious circle of violence, Tyrone finds that both sides of the fight have issues and he might just be the only person capable of leading them out of the mire…
The Imp 2: Rise of the Banshee
When a new threat emerges to terrorise the Imp’s city in the form of the Scare Bear, the Imp finds himself against an enemy the likes of which he has never faced before. Adding to his trouble is the fact that a new masked figure known as the Banshee stalks the streets hunting the Imp down for his crimes. Caught between two powerful individuals Tim’s life is about to be turned upside down especially when his darkest secret is revealed…
Droplet: Force of Nature
Lily Ayers’ life as a courier is about to change. Ambushed by the most notorious bandit of the time she’s left for dead. Miraculously Lily survives although her life has forever been changed. Now with the ability to control water she sets off in pursuit of the man who wronged her. Unfortunately for Lily her actions bring her to the attention of Sam Naughton and the D.E.W. With her abilities developing and the government requiring her cooperation, Lily is thrown into a world which she previously knew nothing about…

When a necromancer calling himself the Black Dragon threatens to destroy humanity as we know it, General Hogg knows it’s time to act. Unfortunately he knows that Sparkman and Droplet may not be enough. Facing impossible odds he must turn to others for help and try to manage the egos of Molotov, Lynx, Destiny and the Imp with each potentially being more dangerous than the Black Dragon himself. Against all odds the only hope for humanity is a group of six extraordinary individuals who, even together, may not be enough to save the world…
