Twenty-seven years after she adopted a baby girl in Ireland, Lena Molloy receives a call from the nun who set up the adoption. Lena is intrigued and worried by the call. With her best friend, Alma, she travels to the west end of Ireland on a secret mission to trace the birth parents of her daughter.
