Julia Greene, baker extraordinaire, is thrilled her friend, Malika Kettani, wants to serve Julia’s delicious key lime pies at her special party. The only problem? The party is in Marrakech, Morocco. The solution? Malika sends plane tickets to Julia and her best friend and business partner, Olivia Duncan.
The ladies are looking forward to exploring the exotic city after the party, but when they arrive, they find a man has been murdered, a fabulously expensive ruby ring is missing, the Kettani household is in an uproar, and Malika is involved in all of it.
As Julia tries to help her friend, she is assaulted in a souk, clonked over the head in the Sahara Desert, and nearly pitched off a cliff in the High Atlas Mountains. Someone is trying hard to make sure Julia never finds the truth and never sees the good old USA again.
