Postmodernism, or, The Cultural Logic of Late Capitalism
by Stanley Fish and Fredric Jameson
Postmodernism, or the Cultural Logic of Late Capitalism is a 1991 book by Fredric Jameson offering a critique of modernism and postmodernism from a Marxist perspective. The book began as a 1984 article in the New Left Review. Fredric Jameson's most wide-ranging work seeks to crystalize a definition of postmodernism; Jameson's inquiry looks at the postmodern across a wide landscape, from 'high' art to 'low' art, from market ideology to architecture, from painting to 'punk' film and from video art to literature.
