Theo Grayson has a serious case of writer’s block. Research for his latest novel has stalled, so he returns to Star Harbor, Massachusetts in search of inspiration where he finds a guarded, vulnerable woman with problems of her own.

Social worker Avery Newbridge develops emotional scars after watching her clients go through hell. She hopes that helping her aunt to manage the Star Harbor Inn will allow her to find some inner peace. Except strange things are happening at the inn, and then a tall, dark and handsome author shows up and turns her world upside down.

When Avery is in danger, Theo steps in to help. But he’ll need to use all of his wits to help her figure out what’s going bump in the night…and convince her that she was meant to be with him forever.
